CHOREOGRAPHY Lar Lubovitch
MUSIC Dave Brubeck
In this Canadian premiere of Elemental Brubeck, American choreographer Lar Lubovitch sets his poetic, lyrical choreography to a jazz score. The work appropriates three pieces from the Dave Brubeck Quartet’s 1963 album Time Changes: Iberia. Lubovitch’s choreography combines aspects of bebop and early 20th century American dance on film with a modern, athletic sensibility.
I'm doing bebop but I'm also playing with it, commenting on that style and behaviour that goes with it Lar Lubovitch

CHOREOGRAPHY Serge Bennathan
MUSIC Arne Eigenfeldt
Set to Arne Eigenfeldt’s haunting, melodic score, In and Around Kozla Street touches on the desperate lives of Jews in the Warsaw ghetto during World War II. Canadian choreographer Serge Bennathan describes his work as a “poetic metaphor on courage.
Backed by Vancouver composer Arne Eigenfeldt’s taut score, Kozla Street is a masterful study in heroism and frailty.Dance International
