2012 Spring Fundraising Campaign
2011 was a remarkable year for Ballet BC marking its first full performance season since its important renewal. We are thrilled by the audience’s response to the season and by the vigorous support that has grown and continues to grow around the company. In a very short span of time, the Company has clearly established a reputation of stability, artistic innovation and vibrant energy.
2012 promises to be no less exciting with numerous world and Vancouver premiere performances by Ballet BC. Last year’s Spring Fundraising Campaign successfully raised over $400,000. This was a major achievement and contributed importantly to the Company posting a small financial surplus in fiscal 2011. Ballet BC could not have accomplished what it has to date without your support. Thank you so much.
All of this outstanding dance comes at a cost and ticket sales cover less than half of our annual operating expenses. For the rest, we rely on contributions from private groups, public funders and generous individuals like you. This year we have set a fundraising goal of $450,000 and ask you to renew your support of Ballet BC, dance and the arts by making a donation today or before June 30th, 2012.
